Will the new wave of chat bots finally make technology serve us instead of the other way around?
The first in a new wave of bots, supposedly to make our life easier. Coming soon from Google, an Amazon Echo type device, codenamed “Chirp” – a chat bot device which should be able to overhear our requests and do most of the heavy lifting for us when we want to do a search for something, buy something, or generally use the internet. Ideally, it should be able to listen to our requests and find the absolute perfect response for whatever we might need, from today’s weather to booking that perfect trip to Hawaii. My question is though, will it just use that exact same method of finding vendors its using now, a combination of pay for placement or content marketing trickery, or will it use a more effective way to match customers with vendors? Which chat bot will win that war?
