299 Innovation in Health Care with Aidan Petrie New England Medical Innovation Center

I interview Aidan Petrie (112 patents), who runs the New England Medical Innovation Center. We discuss where the health care industry is going in the United States and globally, how we are seeing more systems as opposed to single-purpose devices, how the lines are blurred between devices that need to go through the standard FDA process and which don’t. It’s a surprise to me that even with all of the strides we’ve made to speed things up – there is still a lot of time and money involved in bringing a new product to market. NEMIC addresses the need for companies in the space with great clinical value to navigate the path to product. Plus, he invented the EASY button. πŸ˜‰ Final Message: Go Big or Go Home.
